Scandinavian window with a mullioned sash – SCANDILINE 82.

A modern outward opening timber window recognised in Scandinavia.

These modern outward opening timber windows are very popular in Northern Europe. Unlike European windows, they open outwards, which means that in windy weather they are pressed even more tightly against the frame, thus increasing their tightness. Another advantage of these windows is the availability of windowsills.

Outward opening windows are a typical system used almost everywhere in Scandinavia. SCANDILINE 82 windows are mainly aimed at the Danish, Swedish and Norwegian markets, but are also increasing at the German and Dutch markets. The windows are characterised by their unique airtightness and the possibility to give availability to the window sills, which provides more space for use.

  • There is a wide choice of opening types for this window system.
  • This type of window eliminates all inconveniences during daily use.
  • The sash can be turned on its axis.

These wooden windows are a combination of modern design and simplicity, and fit perfectly into traditional houses, but are also very popular in modern construction. With a very wide range of sash types, they can be easily adapted to any architectural solution. The windows can open sideways, upwards, reverse or tilt depending on your needs. As the wooden frames of this type of window are proportionally thinner than those of European windows, this gives the window a visual lightness and elegance. The choice of window hardware and locks is also quite wide.

Our windows are fitted with Danish PN UNI hardware. Thanks to the extensive use of top-quality components, SCANDILINE 82 windows save energy and reduce the noise level.

And because we also use a “warm” glazing, the windows in this line have a thermal resistance of 0,85 W/m²·K. In addition, the warm glass glazing effectively reduces heat loss and glass dew.

Additional sash seals also improve the water and wind tightness of this type of window, and to maintain the durability of your windows, we can also wrap it with aluminium.

For more demanding customers, aluminium hardware can be coated with an imitation wood texture or painted in all RAL colours. Aluminium hardware also improves the durability of wooden windows.

We can produce timber windows not only in standard dimensions, but also to individual orders.

Scandinavian window sash options

  • Non-operable or "Fixed" – This is a plain window - a non-working, wooden Scandinavian window.
  • Window opening upwards or "Top hung" – window that opens outward from the bottom up. It is usually supplied with a closing loop or handle.
  • 90° top Slyde or „Top Sliding“ – This type of folding is particularly popular. this folding technique ensures maximum air flow into the zone. Usually supplied with a closing loop or handle.
  • Reversible 180° or „Top Swing“ – A unique form of folding where the window can be fully opened by pulling it upwards from the bottom. When flipped over, the outer pane of glass is exposed inside the room - particularly convenient for cleaning the window. The window can be conveniently opened and closed using the handle on the lower part of the frame. Usually comes with closing loops or handle.
  • 180° Swing window or „Side swing“ – This is another of the modern sash types that perfectly solves the problem of cleaning windows. It is particularly popular in multi-storey houses. This type of window is used in areas where it is not possible to install a tilt and turn window due to oversize norms.
  • 90° „Side sliding“– It is a side-hung window and one of the most modern types of sash, which is a perfect solution to the problem of cleaning windows.
